HACKATHONS
Facilitated all-female undergraduate robot hackathon - “FemTech Futures 2019”- which required them to create code to help a robot navigate through a maze. This included answering questions about what the organization does, judge code execution in the maze and overall ensured they enjoyed their time with us. This global event was live streamed across multiple academies.
Also facilitated a “Girls in ICT” event targeted at high school students, as a moderator in line with my passion for growth of women in STEM. The challenge was to use code to help a Finch robot dance to a set tune. Some snippets of code were provided, so they just had to build on it.
Delivered a short introduction about what the organization does, judged code execution to the tune and overall ensured they enjoyed their time with us. This global event was live streamed across multiple academies.
